PBIS - Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports

PBIS Mission Statement

California PBIS Coalition promotes a safe and positive social culture in all California school communities by:

  • Sharing effective academic and behavior practices

  • Providing opportunities for networking

  • Supporting deeper learning of PBIS implementation

  • Using fidelity and outcome data to inform our practice

ECHS became a Tier 1 PBIS Implementation school in our school district in 2016. We have a 7-member PBIS team comprised of our Activities Director, High School Counselor, Teacher, Campus Supervisor, Principal, and 2 Student Members. We look at ways to recognize those students who display the positive behavior character traits that make up PBIS throughout the school year. This is done through our GOTCHA Program, the Semester Citizenship Awards, and the Annual Awards Night.

This 2017-18, we are implementing our PBIS Matrix of Expected Behaviors to be exhibited by all who attend ECHS. This behavior matrix was developed by our ASB with input from our ECHS Staff, School Site Council and PTSA. Below is our ECHS PBIS matrix where we are striving to commit to the behaviors "Every Day, Every Time, Every Where."
