Calling all new ECHS students! The 2018-19 ECHS Applications are available here to download. You may also pick up an application at our main office or at your middle school site. All applications must be HANDWRITTEN and turned into the ECHS main office for you to be considered for enrollment. The deadline to submit an application is May 4th. ECHS Mission Statement

Early College High School genuinely engages a wide spectrum of students by offering a complete and rigorous curriculum, supported by technology and aligned to student interests and educational standards. Flexible and innovative coursework with an applied learning focus is provided in a challenging and supportive environment. Students will earn a high school diploma and transferrable general education college credits, enabling them to attend college and pursue a career path.


ECHS Vision Statement

Early College High School is a collaborative effort between the Newport-Mesa Unified School District and Coastline Community College. The program is structured to provide successful, challenging, and meaningful experiences for all students. ECHS is an academic program intended to enable students to pursue postsecondary education and a career path. Students are offered the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and meet university entrance requirements. Students also take college courses for which they receive college units through dual enrollment.

Information about Early College High School and Important Dates for Prospective Students

2018-19 Registration Dates

On-site school registration will be held on the following dates and times. Students will have their pictures taken on these dates so that school ID cards and yearbook pictures can be completed.

Monday, July 30th: Seniors (9 a.m. to noon); Juniors (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)

Tuesday, July 31st: Sophomores (9 a.m. to noon); Freshmen (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)

Students should try to make their designated date and time, but may come another time if s/he absolutely cannot make their grade level time frame.

Come see our ECHS Students perform in the 3rd Annual Costa Mesa Performing Arts Showcase at the Costa Mesa High School Performing Arts Center. Shows are on May 5th at 6:30 p.m. and May 6th at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets are available for sale at the front office. ECHS Chronic Tacos Family Fundraiser

Come by Chronic Tacos at 1460 Baker St. in Costa Mesa all day from 10am-10pm. Show the cashier the ECHS flyer at check out and our school will receive back 15% of the receipt. Chronic Tacos flyer

ECHS Awards Night

Thursday, May 17

Our Awards Night for all grade levels will be held in our MPR at 6:30 p.m. Students who will be receiving awards will be invited along with family members for our ceremony. Spanish interpretation will be provided.
